I'm with the i7 930 all the time.
The Phenom II X6 1090T BE is based on old K10 architecture and even though it might better the i7 930 in WPrime and Cinebench benchies, great for graphics workstations, over clock both and the i7 930 wins all the time; the Nehalem architecture performs much better overall.
If you've already got an AM3 set up and want to upgrade then the Phenom II X6 1090T BE is something i'd definitely consider.
