Is it true that Dual Core Cpus bottle neck??

My friend keeps saying that Dual Core Cpus Bottleneck because they are sending out more information at once.

now 2 cpus on a mother bord thats a diff story
as long as there on the same chip u should have little to no boddel neck thats y intels core 2 quad can have 2 intel core 2 duos as long as there on the same chip

Beat me too it. but esa nailed it on the head. by having teh two cores on one chip it eliminates teh bottle neck of sending different data to different parts of the mobo on a dual proc board.

the only dual-core i've heard of bottle necking anything was a Pentium D while gamming. I havn't seen statistics to prove/dis-prove it, but that rumor is there.

Dual Cores only bottleneck is within transfer from CPU to FSB and North/South Bridge. The only bottleneck is the FSB. The speed of that I believe is the only bottleneck in a dual-core CPU.
