Yeah; erm. For me it involves a cup of tea and some time ranging from 10 minutes to days. It always works though.
But if you mean in the general troubleshooting; then it is in working out what the problem is. Then working out what the problem is making the problem for; with that you can easily find the source of the problem. Once finding the problem; I prefer to look at it over a cup of tea, sit and think, take the problem out and look at it (if its hardware) - then you will generally work out how to fix it.
