Default Trouble with my seagate 500GB

My bios isnt seeing all 500GB. It is only seeing 137 GB, which is from what I hear, the norm. I am running SP3. Its a new build, my only one with a HDD bigger than 120 GB so I have never run into this issue before. I have the latest BIOS for my mobo. Im running an ASUS P5Qc. I am also running the latest atapi.sys ver. so im kinda confused on the problem.

If it can't see more than 137GB would it hurt to just create new partitions each of 120 or so?

Go to the drive set up and select LBA. Some time the auto scan doesn't read the drive correctly.
