Trouble with MAC's

We have a set of macs at our school these are the old and the internet is running EXTREMLY slow and this is the fastest they run i need an idea to make them run faster , I tried to clear the cookies and the internet cache but they still run slow so if you have ANY ideas please help.

ummm the fact that they are old and probably do not have any ethernet ports.... what kinda macs are we talking here?

OS X gets REALLY slow when the primary DNS server cannot be reached. Unlike windows it will try to contact the primary DNS server everytime, which means a few second delay from loading something from every domain.

Either that or the internet connection is just slow
