Default touch screen pc

I have a regular desktop and I'm sorry if this sounds a bit stupid but
Would my pc beable to run a touch screen monitor

There are no stupid questions. Only those that do not get asked. You keep right on asking questions. That's what we're here for.
There's a couple of routes to go here.
An OS written for a touch screen like (ick) windows 8.
A touch screen with a touch interface program you install on your current OS.
What system do you have and the OS on it?

I run windows 7 ultimate with a. Sabertooth 990fx mb.
Amd fx 8120 eight core processor

Well it does have touch tablet capabilities. Might want to check with microsoft for the hardware specs.

As far as simply having a touch monitor, then yes you will be able to do that. We do it with lower spec'ed pc where i work, but we have an App that works (was designed for) touchscreens. However, we have a mouse/keyboard hooked up too because they run XP and while it does work, it's certainly not designed for touchscreen.
