toshiba gigabeat S wmp alternative?

i'm helping my dad out with his new 30gb toshiba gigabeat s (i still like my ipod better), but i don't like how windows media player works cause you can't really change anything, so is there any alternatives? (not winamp).

and ALL my videos (150+) i have are mpeg-4, and i guess something has to convert it to WMV, so idk. i'm trying ASF converter for now...
