Default tips for upgrading ram

Hi People my name is joe.

Can anyone give me some good tips when upgrading my ram
What i mean by tips is where is the best place to buy the ram etc

I like getting the RAM from either Newegg or Micro Center. They usually have good prices.

Make sure your motherboard will accept the RAM you are buying is a good tip.

Find your motherboard model and revision number (on the motherboard's manufacturer's website) and check out the specifications. Post the model/revision number here and we'll help.

If you have any doubt in what to buy, best way is to go to a local PC store and get advice
