Time for the big Reinstalling of Windows!

Yup, tonight or tommorrow. I have my 250gb divided into 2 partitions, 1 is 55gb, and the other all the rest of the space, Windows and all my programs are currently on the big one, but I am planning on formating the small part only and putting windows on that. Or can I just reinstall on the big one without deleting all my files? I want to get a new 7200.10 harddrive, but I think I will wait til after christmas. Maybe Feb. Once I have some more money, and bought my family some good christmas presents.

you can reinstall windows on the bigger partition w\o formatting.

also if your disk is not SP1 or higher it wont read your HDD because its over 137GB, youll have to slipstream SP2 into it if you want to re install windows w\o formatting.

I'm going to be reinstalling XP Pro soon (When I get my new computer built, i'm going to freshen up the old one and put it in the corner as a CS:S Machine)

Oh, I forgot to mention I am on vista. So it is ok with the big harddrives.

ok then when you reinstall vista it your old windows will go to a folder called windows.old along with all your docs and stuff
