I only skimmed this thread (tl;dr), but it appears you're just trying to extend the range of your WiFi capabilities.

If that's the case, get an adapter that's designed for that kind of thing.

Where the Roswells is Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates

would'nt the Roswell be a better antenna?
