That's what I've heard. You increase your chances. I had problems running 4 sticks in my ASUS motherboard. I used 2 different companies. It ended up being a timing issue.

Ok well I emailed the seller and they said the memory I want to use is this....

The memory I have installed now is...
Two 512mb sticks of DDR2 533 PC2-4200

The memory I asked seller about was this:

Do you think they are just trying to get more money or will the above memory be just fine?

Thanks for all your help, I just want more memory to be able to run some programs, once my system gets down to only having 290mb of free memory things dont like to work, and the other day it dropped to only 24mb free...

I'm trying to do this as cheaply as possible since my budget is next to nothing....
