I'd get the 4870 Personally,but that's just me.Your coolling will be fine on that system unless you plan to overclock.

And yeah,When you want to improve game performance,the most integral part,is the graphics card.

To tell you the truth, the 9800 GX2 outperforms the HD 4870 in most tests, including Crysis.
