Default which of these 2 proccessors do you prefer guyz???

Hello Everyone

my question is which proccessor do you prefer AMD 64 or Intel Duo (The new one) ?

is intel duo good have any one tryed it???

my current pc spec's are (only necessary will be said) :

Proccessor: AMD Athlon 3500

Motherboard: K8 Triton Series Nforce 4 (PCI-Express) ill have to buy a intel compatible one)

Graphic Card: VGA Geforce 6200 Pci

Hard Drive: 160 Giga SATA ( 2, 80 GB Sata HardDrives)

RAM: 512 (have too upgrade)


maximum $$$ that i will pay on a proccessor is 180 to 250

250$ i can pay more but i need other accessories like ram etc so 250$ is my budget for the proccessor

the e6400 is in that range right? I think your better off, future-proofing wise, going with the intel core 2 duo.

Yeah, the Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 is within that price range. It's worth every penny.

yes, that cpu is kickass!
I recommend this for the motherboard. I know someone who bought this with a Core Duo 2 and it works great.

socket??? because the intel core duo i think its 479 and this is 7xx something.

All current-generation Intel CPU's are Socket T (LGA775). Intel hasn't used Socket 479 since the Northwood and Gallatin days.

The P5B Deluxe is a good motherboard, so is the P5WDH Deluxe.
