Thermal Paste or Pad for the AMD X2 Processors?

I am wodering what would be better when installing an X2 Processor. I will overclock maybe about 10% with the X2 4400+. Thanks for any comments in advance.

I guess the Thermal Pad is getting chucked away. Another issue that I was wondering was for the side panel of my case. Which is better, Fan pulling air in or pushing out? Thanks for the posts you have left already

Pulling in, in my opinion. Direct flow of air to the RAM, if the fan is in the center (at least mine does that).
