P prosser13 Daemon Poster Messages 1,080 Aug 20, 2006 #2 Pop down the local computer store and buy some Akasa thermal paste remover. Or, buy some from the internet. If you can't wait that long, use a lint free cloth to wipe as much of it as you can, that should be OK in the short term.

B BigLu Daemon Poster Messages 1,140 Aug 20, 2006 #3 yes it is safe to clean it off, use a cloth or paper towell and wipe it off, then take some rubbing alcohol and use that to completely clean it off. it's not like if you're messing with fire here, it doesn't have to be perfectly done.
