To get rid of the yellow highlight of "New" applications installed on the vista start> programs bar

EDIT: if its a folder, you have to click on all the yellow things in the folder too

I removed this on Windows 7. Not sure if it's there for Vista, but follow these steps:
1. Right click the start button
2. Properties
3. Customize button
4. halfway down, there should be a check box saying "Highlight newly installed programs"
5. uncheck it
6. press ok twice
