I have noticed when someone asks for a good OC'ing program someone always says you shouldnt use the program and you should go via bios..Is it really a big deal if i were to use clockgen then do it from my bios..?

And also I have an Amd 3400 do you think its taking a big risk going to 3.0 from 2.4ghz on air ?
My cpu runs like 30c well thats what it says in the bios..Speedfan says 50

Well, not being an overclocker, I can't give you a postitive answer. However, regarding overclocking from 2.4 to 3.0 on air, you better have one hell of a heatsink. And even then, thats a big jump.

I would use a program if I were to overclock again, or maybe because I lacked the knowledge to do it through BIOS, but now I probly would do it through bios now that I know more. what is you PSU?

True thats why im asking, i dont think i will take it to 3.0 but that would be nice. Not sure if i really even need/ want to OC i was just wondering.
