64 on the Green tech (EARS) model too, not just the blacks. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136490

Be Careful on the new EAR drives when using OS's that are PRE Vista. Such as WHS etc.

Yeah, my drives have a 32mb cache

Other things you have to watch out with drives though are platter amounts. The less platters there are, the less work it'd take for the drive to find something.

I found a 1TB drive that has 2 500GB platters. I'm not sure if there would be ones that have 1 platter yet?

I think my 250GB seagate drives are one platter.

EDIT: Yep they are. 250GB 7200.10's. I bought them because they are so fast... actually faster than a raptor.

I never understood the platter thing. My thinking would be more platters = faster, just like RAID and multi core processors work.

It can only seek one file at a time.

The advantage of a terabyte drive is this:

More storage to put music, movies, whatever pleases you to put in

Not much after that. They've gone affordable too.
