Temporary freeze up?

Nope, I didn't just got it with XP on it. Checked for any malware, viruses, etc.. with kaspersky and that came back clean as well.

Well if it is not the hard-drive, then it has to be the windows installation. I'm not* sure that any other part could really give you this problem.
