Hello

current home temps
90-100c + humidity

computer temps
CPU 56 with a threshold of 70(custom)
MB 41 with a threshold of 50(custom)
nvidia sli 7800's read 50-60 degrees with a threshold of default 119

are these temps ok? i figure when i play a game the temps will rise ... dont know by how much but they will.

i have sli, 550w ps, nice heatsink fan + another fan and my case is now open just to be safe.

i really need air conditioning because all the hot air stays in my room and makes for a great sauna.

my question:

until i get a air conditioner for my room (the reason why my temps suck) am i ok to play computer w/o worry?

i plan on upgraded my p4 top conroe within the next year

I don't think you should worry :)

Graphics cards in particular can handle alot more heat than a CPU can, and they are way below the threshold.

My CPU's getting to 61 degrees C while rendering in this heat...

Plus, I should mention having the case open isn't helping much. Cases are built with the fans to push airflow out, but having it open is restricting the flow from going around, which may heat things up, depending.

so you said that your house temp is 90-100 degrees celsius, i have to say that that's ridiculous considering that water oils at 100degres celsius and 90 degrees celsius is 194 degrees fahreneit which would kill you, lol
