Right now I'm using speed fan to monitor temps, and it shows that my temp 2 is 126F, the program shows that it's too hot, how do I figure out what it is that is getting too hot. I thought it was the nvidia chip on the mobo that was getting too hot, so I put a heat sink on it, but I'm guessing that wasn't it since that temp 2 is running too hot still.

What exactly is it saying is too hot? There should be read outs stating what is and what isn't overheating.

It could be your CPU (which is a bit hot for a Core 2), or it could be reading your video card temperature, which would be normal at 52 degrees C (126)

it shows both my cores, they are both at good temps, just don't know what this temp2 is

Ah, that'll be your video card then, most likely.
That temps fine if it is.

Open up your Video card control panel, and go to check temps on the list.
It may ask to download a program to allow you to do this.

Download this if it does:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/sysutility.html

Then you'll be able to check your temps, and if it shows the same, your safe.

And thats idle?!

What case do you have? Do you have enough ventilation, and fans?

i have 8 fans in there, 3 are pushing airflow out of the case. Don't know what kind of case it is
