Hi, im fed o of holding the phone to my ear while on the computer, so i wondered if i could use a computer to be the telephone and i could dial out numbers. i dont mean none of this internet phone crap!!!

skype is not using my already existing telephone line with BT, ive got a head set for my computer alreadyso i just want to use the computer as my telephone. used to be able to do it with windows 98

Try finding Hyperterminal. You can dial out using a modem with that.

are we talking about normal phone or a mobile phone? With some mobiles u can just put it on speaker and then put it on the table or something. Thats what I always do if I'm gaming when someone gives me a call.
