System Restore HELP!

Ok. My computer needs a complete overhaul. Im gunna do a system reformat, but what could i use to save all my pictures and stuff? It would take ALOT of cds. Could i buy a cheap external hard drive and save it to that?

Also, how do i reformat?

Well, how big is all this crap?

Why not buy a few blank DVD's.

A cd can hold approx 700mb

A dvd can hold over 4gb.

To reformat stick your windows xp disk in, restart the computer, it should prompt you to boot from disk.

After that just follow the instructions, it's kinda simple once you get going (make sure you delete your partition and create a new one).
