Try booting into Safe Mode and see if it does the same.

I'll try that. Is the problem that I can not install AIM or openride a problem with my computer or AOL? My Dad is letting me borrow some memory from our other computer to give this one a tempoary boost. I just booted into safe mode, and was able to install AIM. Should I try the low level format?
