I was downloading a large file but my laptop restarted during it and after it booted up a window saying your system has recovered from a serious error so i clicked on details and it showed this:

Error code 000000d1, parameter1 f54e6598, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 f66cbb5c.

C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini111206-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\VIJAY\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER1.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

do i need to do anything or shall I leave it cause I have no idea what it is?

It restarted again but I got this message

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_MORE

Stop: 0x000000D1 (0x80000038, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xF54CFB5C)

usbohci.sys - Adress F54CFB5C base at F54CF000, BATESTAMP 3D6DDC30
I had to use the power button to restart the laptop and when it booted up I got 2 'your system has recovered from a serious error' boxes reading:

C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini111206-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\VIJAY\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER2.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini111306-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\VIJAY\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER3.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

Normally when it restarted by itself that blue screen flashed for only a second but because the automatically restart was off I got to read it properly.

any ideas?

Do you have service pack 2 installed on your machine?

you can get it at www.windowsupdate.com

Stop 0x000000D1 or DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

The Stop 0xD1 messages indicates that the system attempted to access pageable memory using a kernel process IRQL that was too high. Drivers that have used improper addresses typically cause this error.

Possible Resolutions:

* Stop 0xD1 messages can occur after installing faulty drivers or system services. If a driver is listed by name, disable, remove, or roll back that driver to confirm that this resolves the error. If so, contact the manufacturer about a possible update. Using updated software is especially important for backup programs, multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, DVD playback, and CD mastering tools.

I found the info here

Also try saving the file somewhere other than the temp folder. (save as)
