I also already have a 8600 GT XXX from my previous build.
Going to get one of the 8800 when I can afford it and obviously will be upgrading the PSU too.

But from what I will have excluding the 8800 since I dont have that yet what can I expect from this system? Would really appreciate some help with the overclocking on this too.

What

Well until you get an 8800, you're whole system will be bottlenecked by your current GPU, but what do you mean by expectations? Benchmarks?

Only if he's using apps that utilize all four cores. Otherwise, he is fine.

SHould run great, it will not run crysis on all max, but then again, nothing will.

Lets say with an 8800 what should it be able to do? In terms of gaming how far can I push this system? Overclocking capabilities?

Even with the current setup, you'll be able to do a lot. Overclocking should be great unless you have gotten a rare bad OC'ing board and CPU.

What do you plan on doing with your computer?

The quads tend to run a bit hotter that the dual cores so that would limit the ocing a bit, but I think it's safe to say you could achieve 3.0GHz quite easily (with a decent cooler), at least I could. Corsair make great memory as well.

Will a Q6600, 4GB Ram and dualie ultras run Crysis on high? In like 1280x1024?

Gaming, what else. LOL. I want to push this to the farthest possible limits. Best bang for the buck you know. I purchased the zalman9700 cooler for the cpu so im hoping from what ive heard that will help with OCing. Also if I can get the G0 stepping version of the cpu that should also make a big difference in my efforts. Not as much as water cooled, but it should be a lot better than the stock fan/heatsink.

Thats not true with the full game. Its optimized a bit better and SLI is enabled so people with 8800GTX's in SLI are getting playable frames at max settings.

Anyways the system looks good. I'd say save for a bit more and pick up the 8800GT you'll end up with a far superior system!
