Default Svchost.exe using abnormal amount of CPU

I just looked at my cpu usage today after like two weeks and when my computer is idle, in the task manager the svchost.exe process cpu usage is at 35%. Usually before, it was around 0-1% on idle. im pretty sure. And my cpu temp is up a lot along with that. What could be the problem?

EDIT: Just found out, when i unplug my iPod the cpu usage goes back down to 0. But why does the ipod use so much CPU?
