Lightbulb SVCD Question

Do any of you burn music video's and/or movies on CD-R's (blank discs)???

I tried burning a supposid SVCD file on a disc, then tried it on my DVD player but it didn't work...

What's the process of such a task? *wonders*

not all dvd players can play svcds/vcds. some cant even read burnt discs. is it a new dvd player?

Laptop spec: ASUS X53E, i5 2430m 2.4ghz, 3gb ram, 320gb hdd, intel hd graphics, usb 3.0

yeah , mainly the cheaperones will read burnt disks and stuff yet they dont all read vcd , i burn some music vids and an episode of lost and that is all
