from what you are asking for. Its pretty much impossible unless you keep checking every Sunday for sales.

i found this one
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....rd100300050008

its $700, but it doesnt have an graphics card.
So you would have to get a graphics card, and an DVI cable (most monitors dont come with one).

Most prebuilt never come with an graphics card, they usually charge 3x the price from newegg to put that card in. For example, and 2600 is $50 on newegg, Dell charge about $250 for it.

looks good. but the video card is abit expensive...i think. you can get a much better card for the same price...maybe slightly more...

let me find you one. Do you have preference? Nvidia or ATI?

Otherwise the monitor is good...and computer good too...nice price too!

personally I think you shouldn't go pre-built, there are some bottlenecks to it. but thats my opinion...

here is what i finally put together and sent her...thanks for helping look.

HP Compaq with Core 2 Duo E8200 @2.66GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, $589
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883107671

Acer 19" widescreen LCD monitor, $169
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Acer-...oductDetail.do

Microsoft Office Home and Student Edition, $89
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116135

Locitech 2.1 speakers, $40
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836121010

total came out to $887...i recommended she try that out first, and then she can upgrade to a dedicated graphics card later if she wanted to.
