Default Sudden surge in S939 processors?

I was browsing CPUs for my S939 motherboard, and i noticed something, all CPUs went up about $20 - $40 dollars. How and why, i do not know. but every time i buy a product that's a little aged on NewEgg, it seems like the week afterwards they go up in price. Why? AM2 is out and in full force, why the sudden surge in prices?

Less demand higher price i guess, seems to happen a lot with things for the pc like that.

AMD is slowly EOL'ing all Socket 939 processors, so the stock that Newegg and other sites have are all thats left. I checked to see if Newegg had the Athlon X2 4800+ Toledo and they took it off their processor listing. My guess is that since theres less demand/intrest in Socket 939 processors, they're raising prices to compensate for the loss of money.
