This Stupid Thing Keeps popin' up

all sudden i have no idea why but when i try and look in my music files this pops up.

then the site behind it pops up when i click no.

You got some nice spyware right there son!, most probably from downloading music, limewire?

If you have an up to date anti-virus/anti-spyware, do a fullscan, if not here are some free ones.

What ever you do, do not download anything from that link in your address bar (and DONT click yes on that error box, it will only install more malware ect)

I'm going to post something I posted the other day:

"My course of action when working with clients' computers:
All free btw...
1. Install avast! and run a boot-time scan
2. Install and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM)
3. Install and run Lavasoft's Ad-Aware
4. Install and run Spybot S&D
5. Do another avast! boot-time scan

If you've still got problems try VundoFix and also use ATF Cleaner to clean out any nasties hiding in temp folders.

If you've STILL got problems, reinstall windows.

P.S., I'm on the go, so I couldn't post links, but googling any of these should take you right to the sites.

Try that, Dignity. However, since you know it's spyware, I'd skip the beginning avast! install and scan...save that for last if you still haven't gotten rid of everything.

That works great for removing stuff. Not so great at defense, but if it finds it, odds are it can removing. You can't say that about every program.
