Strange keyboard and sound problem

Just a few days ago I have noticed that when I have any type of sound comming out of my speakers (games, music, effects, etc) and when I type, I hear clicking noises through my speakers.

This only happens when I have any type of audio being outputed to my speakers. I have had my music off for 10 mins and I haven't heard the clicks.

I just turned music on right now and I hear clicks and the music cutting out whenever I type.

Does anyone know what is causing this?

Well, I switched PCI slots and everything is working fine now.

its when i hit any key, whether or not the computer is typing.

Hmm, it seems to me you might have the onboard microphone working in the background too, so when you type, the computer is picking these up

Go to the volume logo in the taskbar on the right and right click it, then go to Open Volume Control; or double click it alternately

If microphone is listed there, mute it , and the problem should go away.

if its not there, go to Options, Properties. There, select the Microphone to be on the list and then press Okay.

Now mute it now its there, and the problem should go away.
