i have tried reinstalling the games, and the router works fine cause i can play cs s through a friends computer through my router

Weird. I don't have any problems with SP2 or windows firewall..... I would have said that it was steam but you seem to have troubles with other games as well. Well, if I were you I would try a 3rd party server browser such as Gamespy Arcade. That may help. Also make sure that you have all of the latest patches for games.
