I just got a brand new computer about a 2 1/2 weeks ago, and its been running like a dream; but for the last 3 or 4 days when I turn on the computer and it logs into windows, the task bar freezes for literally 2 minutes and you cant click on it. You can open up folders and work on the desktop, its just the task bar that freezes. Ive run Nod32, theres no viruses i can detect. Ive also run spyware terminator and cleaned it up, but the problem still persists. Im wondering if anyone can help me? Is there possibly a virus nod32 isnt picking up? Or some random software error?

If necessary my specs are:
Intel Core2duo 2.13ghz
2GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
MSI P35 platinum motherboard
Realteh HD Audio
Windows XP Home

i hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance!

Sometimes a anti virus suite won't pick up a virus that intergrates itself with a active application. Therefore you may not pick it up or be able to remove it.

Go into safemode and run another virus scan.

If you don't find any viruses try a system restore to the last working date. Its possible something you installed say a new driver or program is causing the problem.
