Star wars battlefront 2 doesnt work

Ok, heres the problem, I load star wars battlefront, and when I try and launch a mission, it just exits the game. I dont know why? any ideas?

Yes, I am running it in compatibility mode for windows Xp and it still doesnt work. Whenever I try launching it, it says, BF2 has stopped working.

Before it starts, the first thing it says is, "LaunchBF2" has stopped working. Than the menus load and than when I try and play it exits, and says it has stopped working.

Maybe its cause I'm running a 64bit OS. I dont know. What could I do though?

yea as long as all your specs meet or exceed the minimum requirements, then i would say the 64 Bit OS is the culprit.

Update your vidcard drivers as well.

Well thats the problem, I'm running RC1 and the only Nvidia drivers are for RC2.

Ok, fixed it half. I went to the lucasarts forum. Here is the fix, if you disable sound it works, the latest drivers fix that problem too, but as there are no drivers for RC1 I cant fix that. So I guess I'll wait til the full vista comes out. IT was teh dual-core processor causing the problem.
