Standby

hi

when i click standby to put the computer into standby it goes on to the blue screen that says "preparing to standby" and it freezes on that. and everytime it does that i have to hold the power button down to switch it off. does anyone have an idea of why the computer is doing that.

Not sure seems like a driver conflicting or a corrupt file somewhere, have you tried system restore say a couple of weeks then try again, if it still does the same run a windows repair from the CD.
