Now, if lets say, i had a Solid State Disc Drive with windows 7 loaded on it, would that make W7 boot up, shut down, and react much faster?

Or would it be better to have the SSD be used as a slave, for all my games, and music ect to play off of?

any ideas on what would be the best way to set this up to get the most out of a SSD?

would there be a huge diffrerence between a 7200RPM HD and a SSD?

would it help much in benchmarking also?

SSD's go much faster at everything. you should just put everything on the one like games but put music and stuff on the other

hmm...ok.

Because i MAY get a SSD for my slave, i seen a 160GB for sale on new egg at about 140ish bucks or so. Though the Next PC i make will be the Extreme top of the line ( i should be making Bank by then) lol.

EDIT

it was a 60GB for 160$

My Intel machine has a SSD that speeds it up quite noticeably. Be carefull to check the read and write speeds, they vary a lot from one drive to the next. Unfortunately, the faster solid state drives are much more expensive per gigabyte than the slower ones.

The center drive is the OS SSD on my intel machine.

This is where I purchased the SSD you see in the photo above.
