Hey everyone. I have had this laptop about 90 days now and its beginning to reach those stages of slowly but surely slowing down from its original state (longer processing time, one or so errors noted) My question is if there's any folder(s) I can empty or programs I can install to remove anything to help speed up my computer. I have Ccleaner, but it seems to be used only to clear space. Any help woul dbe greatly appreciated!

Signed,
Ben

Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup. This can find gigs worth of stuff you don't need.

Also turn system restore and disable hibernation, they can both free up a couple of gigs.

Or Better yet,Run CCLeaner! (Even though you have it)

Also do a Defrag using JKdefrag.

A Registry Scanner can help.

What Anti Virus/Anti Spyware software are you using? Avast FTW!

Also,Go to the start menu and go to run,and type in MSCONFIG and turn of programs you dont need in the startup tab.

Also,Make sure you have got all the latest updates from microsoft!

What are the specs of your laptop and what operating system are you running?

I have an Asus Gaming laptop
-Nvidia GeForce 9500gs Graphics card
-Duo 1.83 ghz processor
-320g hard drive (Duo 160g)
- Vista 64 bit
-4g RAM
