At least they make kick-ass sound cards.

Absolutely. I use the Audigy 2 (Value). If it was not for them, I'd be using onboard sound.. which isn't all that bad either... but not even close as good as the Audigy 2.

I can't wait for 7.1 channel to become the new standard. RIght now, there's not much DVD and games that take full advantage of it.

7.1? Why? I just spent a ton on this 5.1 system. 7 speakers is too many wires.. heh.

yeah, but just imagine how good it will sound. You'll be engulfed while watching a movie. The more, the better. Since 7.1 is a possibility now, I hope Logitech will come out with a 7.1 surround system, THX or course.

I'll be engulfed in my 500 watt 5.1 system just as good. I don't need seven speakers. I say increase the wattage in each individual satellite.

Yeah, 7.1 is overkill.

I don't know. I'll have to try it one of these days. It's like having 4 surround rear speakers. My sound card supports it, but my current speaker setup is 5.1 which is still very nice. Could be better though.
