So yeah I just got the download going..for SP2 that is and I got stuck on the BITS installation in the first process, again (scroll up to see full messege error)

I've put in an email to MSSupport..we'll see how that goes..

I'm down for anyones thoughts..but now I'm tired..nighty.

Still no luck then? Download the bootable ISO (zip) from here.
http://www.memtest.org/
Use something like nero to create a bootable image, then boot from it. Its best to leave it running overnight if you can.

Also, what brand HDD have you got? And what did you use to test it?
