Default Sound problem's :(

Hey guys, my windows sound icon does not show on my taskbar any more, but my sound works only for games and music but it wont work on the net any clues of to what this problem may b? Thanks.

Try going into control panel>>Sound and audio devices. Maybe you unchecked the box from the task bar?

have you tried reinstalling the audio drivers?

Ive seen people have this problem before, you can try uninstalling your current sound drivers and reinstalling again, i hope this helps, good luck .

Download the file sndvol32.exe or copy it from a working computer and put it in C:windows/system32.

Then go to sound properties - put a check mark on place the icon on task bar and click ok.

See if that helps you at all

Okay well i did that and it still dosent work it still has no sound on IE Or firefox and it still dosent show the icon i did all what you said.

man this is one hell of a problem. Unless you reinstall windows or try a system restore back to a point before this problem started.
