Sound problem

I never got my audio problem fixed. No sound from either dvd/cd player if playing a dvd. I have sound for all other items, internet, playing audio file from hd, playing a movie file from hd, play audio file from cd/dvd players. It's just when I try to play a dvd on the cd/dvd drives that I get no audio. Each drive has Digital Playback checked for each drive also. Can't figure it out. Please help if you should have any suggestions.
