Default Sony Vegas how to merge 2 clips

Ok i split some clips and now i need to merge then how can i do that?

I have sony vegas pro 8

I'd use separate layers and just position them using the pan tool so that they're next to each other. Unless you mean make them the same clip, in which case, I don't think you can.

well will you help me find out if there is a way because i need to increase the speed of my video but i can't because my video is in pieces and i need it all in one chunk

well you need to drag each clip so they can connect to one another to make one clip.. unless you use additional layers make sure each one lines up after another one ends. to speed up or slow down clips hold ctrl then drag the cip .. left for slower, right for faster. I know this worked in vegas 7, don't know about 8

It doesn't need to be complicated, just drag each clip into the timeline and connect them together. Bam.....they're connected.
