Default sony vaio

My sony vaio has a virus and will keep rebooting after the windows loading screen and i haven't created a recovery cd

I can load minixp succesfully from hirens boot CD

I goto C:\WINDOWS\SONYSYS\VAIO Recovery\Luancher.exe and it says "VAIO Recovery Wizard cannot find the recovery partition"

Is there a way ican make the recovery cd

Maybe it has to do with the fact that it says ...\Luancher.exe

Unless that was just a typo when you were typing it into the post =P

You could try to get your hands on the Windows Ultimate Boot Cd, burn it to a cd and boot to that. Then from there you can probably remove the virus and not have to worry about a recovery CD for your computer.

I used hirens boot cd 9.9 to do that and it still doesn't work.

I got the recovery partition backed up to a visible partion.
Could I use that to manuallly create a recovery cd

i got createcd.exe to work in minixp from the recovery partition but it says it only runs on sony vaio computers is there a way to make minixp in hirens boot cd see that it is a sony vaio computer
