Default Sony CR290 or Customized HP Pavilion dv2500t???

What would you do????

I've been hearing a lot that sonys are the best, but I can turn that HP into a great machine for about $100 less.

Here are the specs...

Sony CR290

HP Pavilion dv2500t custom

I have an HP Pavilion laptop also, I nearly went for Sony but found them overpriced, for example I saw a Sony laptop that had nearly the same spec as mine except it had 1gb but it was the same price s my HP laptop with 2gb! Plus the HP Pavilions also come with a remote control!

I would say get the HP. HP makes good computers, and does a good job at pricing them.

Go with HP. They make awesome stuff at a reasonable price. I've found sony computers are overpriced and not worth their pricetag. Also I don't really trust them as a company after what they did with the rootkits, who knows what bloatware they're putting on that could have rootkits in it.

Get a HP they make good products and their customer support is pretty good from my experience
With the sony you would still be getting a good product but a lot of what you are paying for is the sony name on it , but HP is still a good brand
