Acid Pro wont work on my computer. It says I need Win 2000 or XP. I use Windows 98 because I'm afraid if I upgrade now my computer will flip out. I remember I tried upgrading to Win XP Pro once when my computer crashed, I have several hard drives and moved all my stuff to another one, reformatted C, and installed XP. But then XP freaked out and said one of myhard drives could not be read, so I had to switch back to 98 so all my files could be read safely.

Anyone know a way I can safely upgrade or make Acid work on this thing whithout risking the destruction of my files or OS?

Not if all that has happened. You could run it on linux I suppose...

try upgrading to 2000 or xp once more

My computer is old and crappy, but the RAM was upgraded to like 192 MB I think.

If Acid wont work can someone tell me some decent music makers I can steal off teh internet.

I'm working with magix music maker and it doesnt seem to let you make your own melodies, just use loops and samples.

And I have no fucking clue what is going in Frooty loops.

Cool Edit

Sibelious

Ive got the latest PRO versions, worth about 400-50 pound each.

Maybe we can arrange something NervousLarry :p

Cool Edit doesnt let you make music.

ANYONE know any good Music Makers that will work on Win 98.

Acid Pro lets you make music with a synthesizer, the other programs dont, I want a program that lets you compose the songs and lets you sample songs too.
