How when I'm about to run it it says I need XP or 2000?

No idea. I don't know if Raptor X's are faster than the standard Raptors.

Your raptor is slow, drives decline in peformance as they age.

My 7200's beat out an older 15000 RPM SCSI drive from the P3 days.

Time for a new one then, but I wouldn't bother with Raptors if I were you. Just get a WD/Seagate/Samsung or Hitachi 7200RPM HDD with a 16MB cache.
