Hey,
I had an issue like this with my DVD drive before but I can't explain the web came thing?
Have you tried removing the upper and lower filters of your drives?
Have a quick google on "Remove Disc Drive Filters" and there should be plenty of guides for you.
May not work but may be worth a try?
