Default Some advice please!

Hello,
Im a noob to this whole forum thingy, and i was just wondering if i can upgrade my laptop processor from intel celeron to a pentium 4? I do not know the socket of my laptop but it is an ACER travelmate 2100 and i opened it up already which probably voided the warranty. Anyway i was just wondering if this was possible, Thanks

I see no reason why you can't. I tried looking it up quickly, and cound't find a socket description for the processor (i.e. 478, 775). I did find out that the laptop has a 1 year warranty. With the 2.6 this laptop has, I don't see the need to upgrade, but you may have other ideas.

Don't laptops have intergrated CPUs?

Most Laptops have removable CPUs, but sometimes the motherboard limits the processor to only one model (not even socket, model). You should check that.
