Okay

Kazza and WIN MX are not illegal, however can be used illegally!

- Movie downloading is okay if you own it on DVD

- Music downloading is okay if you don't sell it (I think, well they say)

- TV program downloading is okay if it's deleted within 24 hours!

However different countrys have different laws, in Sweden, Tukey these laws don't exist.

In the USA they do ...

In the UK they do ...

I live in the UK and okay then I'll admit it, I cross the 40 GB cap limit from Wanadoo all the time. ;)

However, never have been in trouble .... millions of people download every day .... so unless there is a green/pink neon light above your house saying 'I am a total dickhead' I can't see you getting caught like the way they did in South Park. ;) (The one were they make rock bands)

Disclamer: In no way I am condoning Piracy, I'm saying the chances are low .... so if you get caught downloading the lastest singles or some dance music don't blame me.

Lemme straighten some stuff up. P2P is not illegal. They took it to court, and apparently it is the sharing of information.

Umm Syn7ax 3rror?

Peer 2 peer software is not illegal however can be used illegally for other things!

Maybe not piracy!

But illegal porn and some other desturbing things.

Also Uncle Bill is thinking of doing some P2P himself bit soft though! (Mr Gates by the way)

Was my post not clear enough? I thought it explained the basic legalities of file sharing pretty well. Please read it before posting the same things I just said.

And yes, if you own an original copy of copyrighted material, it is legal to download another copy. Once again, you can own copies AS LONG AS YOU OWN THE ORIGINAL.

Yes Spanky you hit the nail on the head!

Anyway about peer 2 peer I advise you don't use KaZzA or Win MX they suck, they really do!

Bit Torrent and eMule are for the real men!
